A weekend to remember...

This weekend was really busy, but here are a couple of highlights. On Sunday afternoon Miles ran in a 10k race our church sponsored. Proceeds went to Habitat for Humanity. Here's the fun part.... Here comes Miles running to the finish line..... in 2nd place with another guy closing in on him. People started yelling at him to warn him that the guy was catching up, but he couldn't really hear them until.....
all the sudden he caught up and even got a step ahead of him....
But Miles kicked it in high gear and beat him....just barely....it was an exciting finish, but he scared me there for a second.

So, he did finish in 2nd place and even got a prize!
Saturday night was pretty exciting at our house. Camryn had her first sleep over. Her friend M. is in her class at school and lives in our neighborhood. They have become good friends this year. They even look alike. I've never heard so much giggling in our house. Here they are in their sleeping bags.

The cutest thing they did was make a list of things they wanted to do at bed time. I found it in Camryn's room. It went like this:
1. Pillow fight
2. Get things ready for sneaking outside
3. Check grownups. If awake get back in bed.
Overall, it was fun, but they stayed up way too late. Camryn couldn't fall asleep until about 1 a.m. even though her friend fell asleep by 11:30. Since Camryn kept getting out of bed to let me know she couldn't sleep, I was awake too.
I'm really thankful that she has a good friend at school that she is starting to build memories with.
