how to catch a mouse
The girls just can't get enough imaginary playtime with each other now that C is in school. So, Saturdays now they go into overdrive. I think one of the funniest things about it is how they say "Let's be sisters," as if they don't get enough of that in reality, they need to pretend to be sisters too.....with names like Liana and Alexa.....which are of course the names of princesses in whatever movie they are into at the moment. In this picture they are sisters with pets and they made little beds/houses for their pets out of these boxes. S likes to be in charge and I seriously should count the number if times each day she says to C...."I have a better idea".....no matter how good C's idea was.
Every friday, C brings home a LOT of stuff she did at school all week. Today I had thrown a bunch away and she went out to the recycle bin to look for something else and discovered all that I had just thrown out. She brought it back in and here it is all over the table. Notice the sandwhich she made in art class, with eggs, tomatoe, cucumber, onion, lettuce and salami.....none of which she would actually eat on a sandwhich, but I think it was a cool project they did. It took them several days of art class to make it, so she was excited to keep going back to add to it.
We sure like having this little man around. He makes us all smile or laugh a lot and he is pulling up on EVERYTHING he can.

This next picture is kind of weird, but this was the THIRD time we have come out into the garage in the morning to leave and found a mouse trapped down in this little trash can. Somehow, they can get in, but not out. The girls love to check for mice in there every morning now. Hopefully there will be no more. Ever. But at least I don't have to see it dead in a trap when they get caught this way. Then they get wacked by miles with the shovel. We have also caught 2 others in traps.....the old fashion kind....not the new fancy plastic ones which don't work b/c we tried those....the mice just eat the cheese right out of them....they prefer feta cheese i think.....and the things you plug into the wall that sends out some kind of signal or noise to tell the mice to stay away.....those don't work either.
Well, hopefully you won't have this problem at all, but if you do, there's my advice.....Now if I could just find a way to trap all the mosquitoes....

um that is hilarious about her finding the school stuff and bringing it back in and spreading it all over the table.
