the red palace

that's the name of the house we are staying in here at Garden City Beach, SC.....this is our 3rd year to come here for our staff and student leadership retreat. the students will come in a couple of days.... Anna, Camryn and Sadie in hats they made.
we are here with our staff team for a couple of days to reconnect with each other after spending our summers at various places around the country and world.....like.....Destin and Daytona Beach, FL..... Santa Cruz, CA.......Orlando...... East Asia....etc.... Last night we went out for some good seafood and then came back to the house to have chocolate fondu for dessert. After the kids went to bed we all shared how our summers were and cried and laughed about our different experiences. The restaurant was right on the beach although you can't see it in this picture.here I am trying to feed Hudson some baby food. it was squash and he loved it. but he's so squirmy in my lap.Erin C. took the girls on the beach so I could finish my blackened grouper!I think we might have a "mermaid" picture like this from almost every beach vacation.
