Since it had been over 3 years since we had been on a fun trip together without the kids, we decided to visit some friends in NYC. Miles had never been there and I hadn't been since college. 
We spent 3 nights with some friends who spoiled us by bringing us bagels and scones in the mornings while we slept in. (10 a.m. the first morning) They also cooked for us and took us out to dinner to Buddakan (some scenes from "Sex in the City" were filmed there)
The Today Show gang......We took these pictures at The ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center. I remember ice skating there my first time in NY in about the 5th grade.

We spent a lot of time in Soho walking around, eating good food and enjoying not having to push a stroller and having conversation without interruption. Sunday night we saw Mamma Mia on Broadway. We also spent some time on one of these double decker buses which happened to be a great way to see a lot of things in a short amount of time.

so fun! we're going in december and it'll be my first time, too.
so jealous. looks like you guys did it all :) including my FAVORITE thing to do in the whole city... walk the brooklyn bridge. small tid bit: betcha didn't know that is where God called me on staff (during a prayer time up there.) So fun. Will we ever talk??
