a new year....already

when you don't blog for a while it's hard to know how to get started again.....where to start?.....what to write about? I guess a lot of things in life are like that.....like when you don't exercise for a long time, or read your Bible for a long time and you aren't sure where to start, but you know you need to.
But since it's a new year, I'm pressing on and hoping to revive this blog.
So let me start with an update and the family....
Five things about Hudson:
1. he is completely obsessed with guitars and has been for a while. he spots them everywhere we go.

2. He recently learned his colors and has a favorite: green

3. He talks a lot and begins a lot of words with the wrong consonant sound: pork=fork, poppy=potty, foof=shoe, tock=sock, peepa=pizza, doof=juice, mock=milk

4. He's still really busy and doesn't sit down to play by himself for more than a couple of minutes. He likes to have someone giving him attention.

5. He's all boy and likes to destroy things, throw balls, and make boy noises, but he's also a mama's boy and snuggles with me like no one else.

Five things about Camryn:

1. She is blossoming this year and is stepping out of her comfort zone and trying new things, like riding her bike without training wheels, ice skating, tying her shoes, etc.

2. She likes math at school and has 3 good friends in her class. She made bracelets for them over the holidays

3. She wants to be an artist when she grows up and got an easel for Christmas. And she likes to write stories and lets me read them.

4. She loves to read in her bed at night after Sadie falls asleep. She likes horses and other animals and tells me everyday that she wants a puppy.

5. She's growing up fast but still loves to be with me more than anyone else. I'm enjoying that while it lasts. Oh, and as of Dec. 27th, she no longer believes that Santa is real. Miles spilled the beans.

Five things about Sadie:

1. She can be really funny and silly, and LOUD! She makes us all laugh, even Hudson.

2. She is learning to write and spell some words and is excited to learn right now. I think she will like school next year and learn quickly.

3. She loves music and sometimes tries to figure out how to play a song by ear. She has a very big imagination.

4. She is very strong willed, but is more compliant than she used to be. Parenting her is a little easier now and I enjoy our days together while Camryn is at school and i'm trying to make the most of them before she starts Kindergarten in the fall.

5. She is 4 going on 14. Sometimes she acts so grown up, and the next minute she is snuggling with her blankie and sucking her thumb (which she just started doing a few months ago). has anyone ever heard of a kid starting to suck their thumb at age 4?

Okay, i will have to continue this update later.....

That is interesting about Sadie. Anna actually has started using a paci now (when she can find it) and she never took one as a baby. she asks for it when she cries and at naptime. pretty interesting!
