So, Camryn had a loose tooth all summer, but was very protective of it. She has only let me feel it once and rarely let anyone get a good look at it. I knew it was getting looser and must be ready to come out any day. Tuesday, Miles thought he noticed it was gone and asked her and she got upset and closed her mouth tight and wouldn't let anyone look. Then, Wednesday when she was in the bathtub I thought i saw that it was gone, but when I asked her about it she looked down and started to cry, but then I said "never mind, it's okay, I won't try to look". So the kids went to bed and I forgot about it.
Then when Miles got home later, he asked if Camryn had cried about her tooth today and I told him I think maybe she lost it. He agreed and I suggested we go look at it while she was sleeping with a flashlight. So, we did and sure enough it was gone. But THEN, I decided to look again, b/c I thought I saw a new tooth growing in behind the other bottom tooth and when I did, I couldn't resist feeling it (she's a heavy sleeper), so I reached in to feel it and accidentally knocked the other tooth out. It basically fell out as I barely touched it.

But I couldn't get it out of her mouth b/c she was starting to wake up a little and was keeping her mouth closed. So we waited a few minutes and Miles tried to get it out of her mouth with some tweezers, but couldn't. It was floating around somewhere in her mouth. I waited 30 minutes until I knew she would be back in a deep sleep and went it and got it right out. So all this was going on and she never woke up.
As soon as she woke up in the morning I told her what happened so she wouldn't be worried about it. She got a little upset, but then cheered up when I showed her the tooth. Then I finally got the story about how she lost the first one. It came out at school in the cafeteria and she told her friend, who told her teacher, who put it in a napkin, but forgot to give it back to her. We still don't have it. But at least we have a good story.

Okay, now that is hilarious. I would so try to feel for that other tooth, too. Then I would double over in laughter at what I had done! Too funny!
Emme, I can so see you doing that. I am laughing so hard right now thinking of you and Miles looking in her mouth with a flash light. Jacob has lost both of his top front teeth and he looks so cute. Good story!
