CSU 2009

We are back home after spending 3 1/2 weeks in Colorado for our Staff Conference that we have every other year. We had a great time enjoying the mountains, friends, great weather, great food, and hearing from good speakers at the conference like Tim Keller. These pictures are some that a friend gave me that she took at the "county fair" the first night of the conference. I forgot to bring my camera that night. But you should have seen the look on Hudson's face when he was riding these cars and this little roller coaster. Also he got to ride a real pony which he thought was really cool.

Miles ran a 5K while we were there....He also hiked Longs Peak which is I think the tallest peak in CO.... 14 thousand....something....I'm not sure of the exact height. This was our 7th time in 12 years to spend part of our summer in CO. We have many favorite places and things we like to do there. I'll put more pictures and videos when i get them from my camera. We often talk about things we remember about the summers we have spent there, like in 2005 when Sadie was only 3 weeks old when we got there, or 2007 when I found out I was expecting (Hudson), or 1997 when we were newlyweds. But unfortunately 2009 will be remembered as the summer our apartment was broken into. About 5 days after we got there, someone came in while we were asleep and took both of our wallets, cell phones, my camera, dvd player, my diaper bag, and Miles' brand new computer. We were shocked and of course worried about the fact that they came in while we were there, but we are thankful that they just wanted our stuff. It can all be replaced.
