update

well, to blog or not to blog....i just can't seem to find anything to write about these days and feel like i just end up putting a bunch of pics of the kids to fill space....but the least i can offer is an update of sorts.....so here it goes.....
first of all, we are all sick here.....lots of coughing and nose blowing going on in our house, so don't come around unless you want to get sick germs.....the girls just love to be at home though and play together. Since Christmas, they play really well together when ever they have a chance. Of course there is the occasional argument over who got something first, but mostly they love to be together and i'm really thankful for that. When one of them gets mad they insult the other one by saying "i'm not playing with you anymore"...... and the ultimate insult is........"i'm not playing with you ever again".......and one time after saying that Sadie added "except on Wednesdays!"
Sadie loves to entertain Hudson by making funny faces for him or making up silly words to make him laugh (especially in the car). One day she pushed him around in her little play stroller for a while and he loved it. He just sat there and didn't try to get out even though he wasn't buckled in.
And this is just a picture I like of Sadie filling bags of sand for Luminary night in our neighborhood.
This is H. in the swing at our neighborhood playground. His favorite. He has mastered walking and has moved on to other new tricks like waving at people and clapping. He's very friendly and sweet. Tonight Miles and I were talking about how sick we feel and how it's hard being sick with little kids to take care of and how much easier life would be by now if we had stopped at 2 kids, but also, how we can't imagine life without Hudson now. He makes us smile and laugh so much and we are so blessed to have him in our lives. He's a keeper.

And he's just into EVERYTHING. When the girls are in the bathtub he likes to throw things in there. He goes over to the cabinet in the bathroom and opens it and pulls out random things and takes them over to the bathtub and drops them in. Don't have a picture of that. One of the highlights of our Christmas break was taking a trip with Miles' family to VA to a ski area which I already mentioned, but I love this picture from there when we acted out the Christmas story. Camryn is holding the star. My sister-in-law who happens to be pregnant made a perfect Mary and Sadie's groovy girl got to play the part of baby Jesus.
I decided not to make any new years resolutions this year. I never keep them anyways and when you have a husband who is training for a marathon, it makes any other goals seem small. And honestly I'm just trying to keep up around here with everything I have going on. But I am excited for Miles to hopefully finish the Atlanta marathon at the end of March. He is on a training program and it is ALL he talks about. We joke about how all conversation around here leads to running and marathons. Especially after he read a book I got him for Christmas about marathon training. And he asked me if I could make high-carb dinners. Maybe i should do some marathon training to justify all the carbs I eat already. Here he is after a long run when we were in VA.

That's all for now. Happy New Year!!

Hey Emme!
I know about being a marathoner's wife - fun, huh?! Not much fun to see how much they can eat and still lose weight...
Rick has run Huntsville twice, Boston once, and Houston once and loved them all, especially Boston. Tell Miles we're cheering him on!
I enjoy reading about your sweet family.
