Well, the room is ready for our baby boy, now we just need him to arrive soon! His big sisters love to go in his room and play or get in his crib and pretend they are babies. I'm not very hopeful of having this baby before my due date, which makes me a little depressed b/c i am ready to not be pregnant anymore and b/c I think he's going to be a big baby, which means the longer he's in my tummy, the bigger he's getting.

Today I saw my midwife and I got emotional and cried on the way home b/c something about being there reminds me that it's almost over yet 2 or 3 more weeks seems like a lifetime at this point b/c i'm pretty uncomfortable. However, i'm really thankful for a healthy pregnancy and don't have much to complain about. I think every pregnant woman daydreams about having something dramatic happen..... like my favorite is something like.... having my water break while i'm walking through the grocery store and I just abandon my shopping cart and call Miles to come pick me up. Or just the thought of having the baby a week or so before my due date would be a dream come true for me since that's never happened.
So, for now we wait.......and wait.......and wait!
Next week at 39 weeks I'll announce our baby's name on my blog, so check back next wednesday. And if anyone has any tips for speeding up labor other than the traditional ones, let me know!!

I love the baby's room. .. its so cute. And you look great. I am way bigger than you and 4 weeks behind, you.. seriously. But i know what you mean... it seems like forever till the baby will acutally come out. I hope you can go early! you have a midwife? does that mean you're going to have him at a birthing center or something? we gotta talk soon! love, gina
well, all i know is that trick you told me about pressing on the roof of your mouth w/ lollipop- DID NOT work for me...8 days late! ugh. My trick, schedule the induction (I went into labor 9 hours later :) Sure hope he comes soon. maybe i'll call you tomorrow.

Hey Emme!!! Well, you & the girls look as beautiful as ever!! I sure miss you all in NC!! My prayers are with you as you 'wait' for the baby! LOL! ((hugs))
hey emme, i went to the doc today and got ultrasound - said the baby is over 6 pounds and she said i should eat less!! so, thats why i look so big in comparison to you :) HAHA. here is a good idea for inducing labor:
One of the legendary labor inducing remedy is the “Prego Pizza”. It was originally created by Skipolini’s Pizza in Clayton, California in early 1980’s. The story tells of a woman in a very advanced state of pregnancy who happened to step into this restaurant and jokingly asked for a pizza that would make her have the baby soon.
The chef created a masterpiece that had six types of meat and was loaded with fresh vegetables and extra onions and extra garlic. The deeply pregnant woman left the restaurant after eating the newly created “Prego Pizza” — and gave birth to a baby boy on that very same evening.
Basilica and oregano, which are common pizza toppings, have stimulant properties on the uterus. In aromatherapy circles, these herbs and their essential oils are to be avoided, whenever possible, during pregnancy. Thus, basilica and oregano might be behind the success of the “Prego Pizza”.
Pineapple is said to induce labor as well. Pineapple, as well as papaya and mango, contain a proteolytic enzyme called bromelain. When bromelain is consumed with meals, it assists in the digestion of proteins.
gina,
there's a restaurant here where Dortors send women on their due date for pizza. I went last time for pizza and it didn't work, but I forgot about those fruits...I had heard that before. I'll be trying everything by next week.
